Merry Christmas, Rachel! I am thankful for your hard work. This is honestly the ONLY place I find my news — and it is because of the balance that you provide. I am thankful that you’re not “one-sided” and always provide the good and ugly on both sides. That makes you trustworthy in my books!
I, too, feel jaded and weary this year. It’s hard sometimes to find the JOY in Christmas where there is such horror brewing all over the world. And yet, I am reminded that our Lord and Savior Jesus told us that this would happen. When we read our Bibles, we know that things will continue to get worse until His coming. That excites my soul, even if I do have to fight the fear of what that may actually look like in reality. But God! He is GOOD!🙌🏼 Maranatha!🙌🏼
Merry Christmas to you and your family!! May the Lord speak clearly and give you clear direction:) I have taken myself of all social media lately because I needed a brain/soul break from all the chaos and noise. I totally I understand all that you are saying and we all need to sit in the quiet at times and let the Lord refresh our souls from the yuck of the world. Lord thank you for Rachel and her voice in this space that is a true light in the darkness of this world and depraved culture. I ask that you refresh her soul and breathe new life in the places that have stolen her joy and hope. I pray that you would give her more resolve and courage this coming year in whatever you call her to and that you would raise up people around her to bring encouragement when she needs it. Thank you for using her in this space and I ask for your protection over her and her family and that you would set a guard around her home as well as their hearts and minds. Lord this earth you’ve created yields so much beauty in your creation and yet so much wicked depravity of man at the same time…help us all to find you in the beauty, turn our eyes upon you, to see you clearly in the fog and chaos of life. Thank you for Jesus, Immanuel to be God with us not just in that manger but for everyday going forward. Thank you for never leaving or forsaking us…and for saving us through the shedding of your blood. You are always good even when life can be hard. Until you come back to take your people home, help us to not grow weary in doing good and fill us with the power of your Holy Spirit! I say Come Lord Jesus come, but until then thank you Jesus for keeping us. In the powerful name of Jesus…Amen❤️
I will join you in prayer as you seek the Lords guidance on how to do this work he has clearly called you to. However, as I have been taking a break from the socias I also know how wonderful it is to be away from all the darkness that is out there and what a hard balance that is. Selfishly, I for one, treasure your work and am grateful for all you do. May God clearly show you what it looks like to move forward while also shining His light brightly. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Rachel! 🎄 I so appreciate ALL you do for this community in bringing us the news we can trust. May the Lord give us all rest during this holiday season as we celebrate Him. ✝️ Looking forward to 2026 as we continue to put our hope in God’s plan. 😊
Merry Christmas Rachel to you and your lovely family. Thank you for all your hard work - you are my main news source bc I trust you to tell me the truth. Praying for some good soul rest for you through the holidays and to enjoy Gods abundant blessings.
Merry Christmas, Rachel. And to your family! Thankful for you and the job you do. I know it’s hard, especially in the “bleak midwinter.” 😉 But I am thankful for a reformed voice in the chaos. May you have a blessed holiday season!
I feel the echo of what you’re expressing and experiencing in my own mind and heart this year. Social media is a cancerous cesspool of fickle mobs easily swayed by cultural negativity click bait and podcaster cult followings. Frankly, it leaves me feeling vapid and hungry for the years when I spent my social media time drooling over people’s artwork, family stories, and travel. For this reason, social media came off my phone last week and I haven’t missed it at all. Although Substack is becoming much the same as all the others, I appreciate the space to read intelligent long form articles without scrolling through 14 slides. My attention span thanks you for Substack articles too! I hope you’ll continue in this space, and I will continue to pray for your peace of mind and space to give fully to your family while showing us a balanced and Biblical worldview of the important headlines.
Have a good rest Rachel, we’ll all be here when you get back! You’re the only news I follow (haven’t found a great Christian Canadian news source yet…) and the work you do and how you present it is so valuable. Thank you❤️ blessed Christmas and 2026 to you and your family
Merry Christmas, Rachel! It was a sincere pleasure to get to know you this year and to write a few articles for this fine community. May the Lord bless you and keep you!
