HHS Halts Routine COVID-19 Vaccine Recommendations for Healthy Kids and Pregnant Women

Yesterday, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced the CDC will no longer recommend routine COVID-19 vaccinations for healthy children and pregnant women, bypassing the agency’s advisory process, some say. Tropical Storm Alvin Nears Formation, Threatening U.S. Gulf Coast

The National Hurricane Center reported a 90% chance of Tropical Storm Alvin forming in the Gulf of Mexico as early as today, potentially impacting Texas and Louisiana. Coastal areas are bracing for heavy rain and possible flooding, following a deadly tornado outbreak earlier this month that killed 27 across multiple states. Emergency services are mobilizing, with residents urged to prepare evacuation plans.
